Prey Golden Gun Vs Silenced Pistol

One of the better weapons in Prey is a specially enhanced pistol found in the safe in the Talos I Captain's office. Dubbed the Artemis Golden Pistol, it will save you some weapon upgrades for the standard silenced pistol. The hard part is getting the side mission for it to obtain the randomly generated safe code, and this walkthrough will tell you how to do it. Bring extra ammo and the way will be fraught with Typhons.

Next, head to the Bridge, and look for the Captain's body. Grab her cabin keycard from her since she won't be needing it anymore, then head to the Crew Quarters. When you reach the area, follow the waypoint to the cabin. Use the keycard to get in, find the safe on the wall, then use the code from the recording. Now that you have the Artemis, dump your regular silenced pistol, since the Artemis is a major upgrade. Hopefully you didn't waste any upgrade kits on it.

Prey Golden Gun Vs Silenced Pistol

If you've not heard of the Prey Golden Gun before, then now is the opportunity to educate yourself as it's a thing of beauty. Let's face it, who would want to use a pistol, shotgun, or other 'basic' weapons when there's a shiny golden gun out there to be had? Not only does this fancy shooter deal a little more damage than the silenced pistol, but it fires equally quietly too, so you can definitely consider it an upgrade in more ways than one. If this blinged out weapon has whet your appetite, then let us explain exactly where to find it.

The shooting was effective, with an interesting variety of guns, but my version (pre-order/deluxe perhaps?) came with a silenced golden gun that was incredibly effective at headshots. Ammo drops were sometimes scarce enough that I was forced to use different gun types. Using the Nexus ability to link enemies together and head-shotting one to make several fall at once was always satisfying, though felt so overpowered I rarely used anything else.

If you're a big fan of playing with sniper rifles in other third-person shooters, you'll probably like Sniper Elite's approach to the game. I'll admit there's a certain degree of frustration in that your sniper rifle isn't silenced -- had they not invented silenced rifles back in 1945 or something? You've got a silenced pistol, so why can't you have a silenced rifle? -- but the rest of the game is all about sneaking around the periphery of urban combat zones, subtly eliminating or evading enemies before they have any idea you're there. This isn't a game where you are there, fighting your way through the thick of the greatest battles of WWII; instead, you're one of the secret guiding hands that makes sure history has the chance to unfold as it did.

The playable characters are largely defined by their sets of four class abilities, ranging from the bounty hunter\u2019s landmines to the pigman\u2019s poison trail and the werewolf\u2019s temporary invisibility. There\u2019s also a universal set of useful weapon skills like electric pistol bullets, silenced rifle shots, and stun arrows, but those must be leveled up for each character individually. However, a set of perks you unlock that remain persistent, and between that and a couple of shared loot stashes that means you\u2019re considerably more powerful in the fifth act than in the first thanks enhancements like more health, doubled explosive damage, and faster stealth movement. That provides a sense of progression even as you reboot from one character to the next.
